Nexterday North Uncovers the Communications Industry’s Collective Blind Spots

500 innovative thinkers, leaders and doers from around the world converge on 9-10 November 2015 in Helsinki, Finland, in the run up to Slush 

HELSINKI, Finland—Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), today unveiled the full scope of its debut Nexterday North event, taking place 9-10 November 2015 in Helsinki, Finland.

The anti-seminar will prepare the telco industry for the fourth revenue wave following voice, messaging and data access: digital services. The evolving expectations of Generation Cloud customers, combined with unruly competition set by new digital economies, is prompting operators worldwide to rewrite their sales, service, technology and marketing playbooks. Nexterday North will help them on that journey by encouraging attendees to think ahead, think again and think beyond what it means to be a traditional communications service provider.

The event will feature a line-up of inspirational speakers, with presentations by renowned leaders, business masterminds and best-selling authors. Speakers come from all corners of the digital and communications industry, from business strategy and management to customer engagement, marketing, sales and new digital service creation. Nexterday North’s diverse roster of presentations will spur new ideas and creativity, enabling telco industry attendees to glean insights from the outside-in.

Nexterday North will take place in the two days leading up to Slush, Europe’s largest and fastest growing start-up event:

  • Day one, THINK AHEAD, will explore what there is to learn from other industries, featuring keynotes and sessions on the future of communications services, digital business models, strategies and management issues.
  • Day two, THINK AGAIN, will explore how to transform the industry through innovation instead of crisis. Twelve carefully selected global Industry Benchmarks will showcase impressive work from digital and communications service providers that are leading by example; these include Tele2, Globe, Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Telefonica, Qrious, Bharti Airtel and others.
  • Attendees will have the opportunity to THINK BEYOND, by gleaning insight from the start-up culture. Together, Nexterday North and Slush will provide takeaways from some of the world’s most ambitious, emerging technology organisations.
