Operation Nexterday Book Among Award Winners Recognized for Excellence in Public Relations and Marketing

HELSINKI, Finland— 5 April 2016—Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V) today announced that its book, Operation Nexterday, was selected as a top marketing campaign of 2016 by Business Intelligence Group as part of its 2016 Public Relations and Marketing Excellence Awards. The awards recognize leaders in the field of strategic communications, highlighting standout public relations and marketing campaigns from the past year.

In Operation Nexterday, Comptel defined its mission and framework encouraging operators to radically transform their sales, marketing, and service strategies in response to tech-savvy consumers’ increasing digital service demands. The book compiled insights from industry experts within Comptel and across the digital and communications landscape, including analysts and academics. It was published at Mobile World Congress 2015, with more than 5,000 copies distributed since.

Building on this momentum, Comptel launched its inaugural Nexterday North event in November 2015, bringing together more than 500 Comptel customers, partners, key industry players and futuristic business thinkers from around the world. The company also published the second edition of its framework, Nexterday: Volume II, and launched, a new online magazine and reader community, in February 2016.

Comptel’s major remaining 2016 initiatives focus on expanding the Nexterday message and movement. The year-long Nexterday Tour will visit regional decision makers and partners in 20 cities across the world before culminating at Nexterday North 2016 in Helsinki, a two-day event that will introduce even more new voices and ideas around digital transformation in telecommunications.
