Comptel Roaming Management™

For the journey

Comptel Roaming Management enables mobile operators to manage the entire life-cycle of roaming billing and roaming fraud management. This highly flexible solution for rating and processing roaming usage records also supports Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE), a key weapon to combat roaming fraud in a diverse range of networks and the recommended standard for all GSM service providers.

Comptel Roaming Management integrates effectively and without significant effort to all required systems that need roaming billing data, such as data clearing house, billing, fraud and ERP systems. In addition, the solution offers the capability to produce a rich set of auditing data for revenue assurance departments and applications, and high-usage reporting capability.

In addition to settlement for both inbound roaming and outbound roaming, Comptel Roaming Management handles all associated business processes including data exchange, pricing, revenue assurance, reports, and standard support for TAP (Transfer Account Procedure), RAP (Returned Account Procedure), CIBER (Cellular Inter-Carrier Billing Exchange Record), HUR (High Usage Report) and NRTRDE.

As an active member of the GSM Association, Comptel is able to guarantee support for the latest of these GSMA roaming standards. Comptel also closely follows the relevant working groups (TADIG, BARG, FF, TDS) to ensure that its roaming solution is compliant with future standards as well.

With its NRTRDE capability, Comptel Roaming Management enables mobile service providers to monitor subscribers' activity in both home and visited networks, in near real-time. For NRTRDE compliancy, the solution provides both the software and ready-made business logics (including TD.35 validation), all ready to be deployed by the CSP. For the visited network, the solution enables the submission of information to the subscriber's home service provider. For the home network, it enables the analysis of usage data received and raises the alarm in the event of unauthorised network usage.
