Comptel was one of the first vendors to provide OSS/BSS solutions for the world’s first GSM operators over two decades ago. Today, our convergent solutions provide over 500 off-the-shelf interfaces to different network elements and IT systems in mobile, fixed, IP, satellite and convergent environments. Comptel can show with confidence its ability to move with the fast pace of evolving technology generations and the demands set by convergence.

At present Comptel is on the forefront of developments for technologies such as IMS, WiMAX and LTE (Long Term Evolution). Our customer base of around 280 communication service providers (CSPs) helps Comptel to remain at the forefront of technology, providing excellent time-to-market in an evolving convergence environment.

As an illustration of this, Comptel is involved with 3GPP LTE, aimed at improving the Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) to cope with future technology evolutions. Goals include improving spectral efficiency, lowering costs, improving services and better integration with other open standards.

In the near future, CSPs face the renewal of transport networks to all-ip. Hand-in-hand with this goes the massive demand for mobile broadband services. Here at Comptel, we will be there offering our support and expertise both today and long into the future.
